OBI4wan and Buzzcapture join forces

The Amsterdam-based reputation management agency Buzzcapture has been acquired by OBI4wan. Both organisations offer high end SaaS solutions for (social) media monitoring and webcare. The acquisition strengthens both organisations as market leader for webcare and media monitoring. Clients of OBI4wan and Buzzcapture include ING, DHL, VICE Media, Warchild, bol.com, Boskalis, Schiphol, Univé and McDonald’s.

All-in-1 solution for webcare and monitoring offers international perspective

Alexander de Ruiter, OBI4wan CEO, explains: “The combination of Buzzcapture and OBI4wan provides a complete Best of Breed solution for our clients and offers a solid foundation for our international expansion.”

The opening of a Berlin office offers perspective for one international solution for media monitoring, webcare and reputation management. The joining of forces results in a market leader for the Benelux, where both organisations already have clients in Belgium, France, Italy, Germany and other mostly European countries.

Unique data insights from online and offline data sources

The combination of Buzzcapture, OBI4wan and OBILytics – founded in 2015 – offers the market a strong proposition. This not only generates a complete all-in-1 solution for webcare and (social) media monitoring. The combination of the research & insights department of Buzzcapture and data analysis of OBILytics offers much more than that. Clients of both organisations gain combined and unique data insights from over 20 million online and social data sources, as well as several offline sources, like radio, tv and print media (newspapers and magazines).

Two strong brands continue together

In the next few months, both strategic strong organisations will operate separately from each other. The joined offer for monitoring, webcare and reputation management strengthens the product portfolio for the international market, but the core business remains the same for now. The organisations will further explore collaboration in the course of 2017. Both OBI4wan and Buzzcapture were in the top 3 ‘Best Social Software’ of Emerce and in 2016 Buzzcapture was in the top ‘Best Global Media Monitoring Tools’.
